Architect/Designer - Chicago/Shanghai

0-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE

We are currently seeking architects with 0-5 years of professional experience who have strong design and graphic presentation skills. All candidates should have an accredited degree in architecture and must be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D rendering programs. Project responsibilities include participation in all phases of the architectural design and documentation process. Marketing Manager/Director - Chicago

Goettsch Partners is an innovative architectural firm with a global perspective, emphasizing a singular design approach across offices in Chicago, Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi. We are grounded in Chicago and the Midwest, but we want to expand to the rest of the domestic market as well as further in Asia and the Middle East.

We are seeking a talented and motivated marketing professional to serve as the leader of our marketing group. You will be based in Chicago and will work closely with the firm’s chairman/CEO and president, as well as other firm leaders, and you will manage marketing efforts across all offices.

Specific responsibilities will include development of strategies for pursuing new work, managing and producing responses to requests for qualifications and proposals, continually evolving the firm’s marketing materials, and elevating the firm’s name in the marketplace. You will gather critical intelligence about relevant clients, projects, and competitors; promote the firm’s public relations in all forms of media; and represent the firm in client and professional organizations.

We are seeking someone who is not only able to manage marketing efforts across multiple offices, but also to shift from strategy to hands-on content development. In addition, we are seeking experience with campaigns to raise brand awareness in the USA and abroad.

PRIMARY SKILLS INCLUDE:

We prefer a bachelor’s degree in architecture or design, business, marketing, communications, or journalism, as well as 8 to 10 years of experience in AEC marketing. In addition, candidates should be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

Interiors Practice Leader - Chicago

15 YEARS+ EXPERIENCE

We are currently seeking a leader for the firm’s interiors practice. This individual should have at least 15 years of professional experience, bring strategic client and consultant relationships, have a vision and tenacity for developing new work, and possess a strong passion for design excellence. All candidates should have direct experience working on a variety of commercial interior projects, with a focus on the workplace, as well as the design of public areas for large commercial buildings. Strong communication, leadership and management skills are essential.

Responsibilities include overall direction and guidance of the interiors practice, as well as working closely with the architectural project teams. The individual will focus on the commercial office market in Chicago and the U.S., with select opportunities overseas. An industry leader, the highly visible individual will drive new business and raise the firm’s profile through lectures and presentations while cultivating close client relationships for repeat work.

Project Architect - Chicago

5-15 YEARS EXPERIENCE

We are currently seeking architects with 5-15 years of professional experience who have strong technical skills. All candidates should have experience with large, commercial mixed-use projects. Good communication, leadership and management skills are essential.

Responsibilities primarily include implementing design concepts in the production of architectural documentation, from schematic design through construction administration. Project architects will also be responsible for leading project teams, coordinating activities with consultants, and handling building code analysis, submittal reviews, construction administration representation, and project closeout. Individuals will work closely with the senior project designer on each assignment to assure that the design intent is achieved in the completed project.

Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe programs, and BIM/Revit experience is a plus. Licensure and LEED accreditation are preferred. Previous experience with high-rise office, hotel, residential and/or mixed-use projects is helpful.

The position requires exceptional graphic skills in multiple media, including freehand sketching, and 2D and 3D visualization to resolve complex design issues. Project designers will lead design teams from concept design through design development, working closely with the project architect on each assignment to assure that the design intent is achieved in the completed project.

Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD, 3D and Adobe programs. Licensure and LEED accreditation are preferred. Experience in high-rise office, hotel, residential and/or mixed-use projects is helpful.
