Queensbridge Collective

Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

Located at the southern edge of Charlotte's central business district, Queensbridge Collective is a transformative mixed-use development that sits directly between the rapidly growing South End neighborhood and Uptown's commercial core. The project is conceived as a connective urban hub that links office, residential, retail and public space in a cohesive, pedestrian-focused environment.

The project comprises two towers that establish a prominent new presence on the skyline. A 43-story mixed-use tower at 1111 South Tryon anchors the northern end with approximately 400,000 square feet of office space and 304 apartments. A 42-story luxury residential tower, Vivian, stands to the south with 409 apartments. Together, the towers frame a central public plaza along Tryon Street, creating a new civic gathering space that strengthens the relationship between building, street and neighborhood.

A multi-level podium connects the towers and activates the ground plane with more than 30,000 square feet of retail and animated lobby spaces. A mid-block pass-through enhances walkability and strengthens connections to nearby light rail, while service and loading functions are fully internalized to maintain a pedestrian-focused streetscape. Amenities are distributed vertically throughout the podium, including a Level 9 fitness center, Level 10 outdoor deck with basketball and pickleball courts, and a high-end modern steakhouse positioned between the towers with expansive views over the plaza.

The office lobby along South Tryon features a sculptural stone wall and ceiling with a highly transparent 30-foot-tall façade that blurs the boundary between interior and plaza. Office floors provide column-free layouts with access to daylight and select outdoor balconies, while a Level 42 amenity floor offers panoramic downtown views.

Targeting LEED Gold certification for the mixed-use tower and NGBS Green certification for Vivian, Queensbridge Collective is a significant urban infill development that adds density, public space and reinforces Charlotte's evolution toward a more connected, mixed-use downtown.
