As part of a continuing presentation series on current projects, the Chicago Architecture Foundation hosted “Big Plans on Campus” on October 6. The presentation featured three projects at Chicago universities. Goettsch Partners presented the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts at Northwestern University; KPMB Architects discussed the Kellogg Global Hub, also at Northwestern; and Studio Gang showcased their Campus North Residential Commons at the University of Chicago.

GP principal and senior project designer Scott Seyer, AIA, LEED AP, presented the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts. He discussed the design, acoustical and technical challenges of the project, including the double-skin facade incorporated throughout the building.
